Protocol & search strategy
Define the review question, eligibility criteria, source coverage, search approach, and synthesis plan before screening begins.
Screening, extraction & appraisal
Maintain record-level decisions, full-text exclusion reasons, source-linked extraction, and the agreed critical-appraisal or risk-of-bias assessments.
Synthesis & reporting
Prepare the evidence synthesis, tables, flow diagram, and reporting checklist. Scope quantitative synthesis separately where the question and available data support it.

PRISMA REPORTING
The reporting
should reflect
the work performed.
Systematic-review reporting is planned against PRISMA 2020; scoping-review reporting uses PRISMA-ScR. These are reporting frameworks, not substitutes for a documented review process.
We define the appropriate review type up front and preserve the search, screening, exclusion, extraction, and synthesis records needed to support it. A narrative review or evidence map is labeled accordingly.
